This site-specific, immersive performance experience uses large public spaces to integrate ETHEL’s super-charged live performance, movement and lighting to allow direct audience interaction. As ETHEL moves and performs throughout the space, the audience members are encouraged to explore and walk around “the house”. ETHEL incorporates its own original and improvised solos, duos and trio music between self-composed and commissioned works for the quartet, creating a seamless sonic environment.

ETHEL FAIR is an annual New York event, curated by ETHEL, celebrating ETHEL commissions, premieres, and artist collaborations. Last year’s inaugural ETHEL FAIR featured clarinetist David Krakauer, Thomas Dolby (five-time Grammy winner best-known for the hit "She Blinded Me With Science"), composer/guitarist/inventor Mark Stewart of Polygraph Lounge, automata inventor/musician Kurt Coble and P.A.M. Band, pioneers of the new rock complexity Electric Kompany, and Navajo poet/singer/songwriter and two-time Native American Music Award nominee James Bilagody.
